READ BEFORE BOOKING:

Richard often has a full caseload and cares greatly about the fit of those who work with him, so please follow the process to get you an appointment or waitlisted with him or the therapist that fits you best in a timely manner.

Most of our therapists, including Richard, encourage a Free 15min Initial Intake Call with themselves and/or our Clinic manager for New Clients before seeing you for your actual paid session. If you are a Returning Client, have been referred by another professional and/or have communicated with your therapist in advance (i.e. for sessions with Richard, text 778.344.9644) you may book yourself for a paid full length session immediately.

Note that is your (the client) responsibility for determining if your insurance/extended health benefits company will reimburse you for the costs of the therapist you are seeing, and in almost all cases you are responsible for paying the full cost of the session at the time of the session, not your insurer. After the session, you will be emailed a receipt from the Jane system you may submit to your insurer. You must alert the therapist about the following BEFORE your first session: your insurance situation (if applicable), and if your session is collision, legal, or workplace-related (e.g. ICBC, WCB, CVAP, etc.).

Note that for booking/cancelling/rescheduling a session that is less than 3 days (72hrs) away, you will need to contact the therapist directly (the online booking system will typically show this as “Contact to Book”).

Please let us know if there are any issues with the booking system, or if you need a time outside of what is shown - some practitioners have additional availability that is not reflected in the booking system.

Cancellation fees up to the full cost of the session may apply for cancellation/rescheduling/no shows with less than 24hrs notice. Your session time is saved just for you–late cancellations create a hole in the therapist’s day, loss of income, and prevent another client from booking in who may urgently need services, so please always communicate with your therapist as far in advance as possible (48-72+hrs) if things arise that may impact your ability to attend.

NOTE ABOUT RICHARD’S LOCATIONS AND AVAILABILITY:

If you want In Person, when booking you will have the option of choosing an office most convenient for you (Langley/Vancouver/Virtual). Note that I have multiple commitments as a Counsellor-Educator-Supervisor and Parent and so am available for different types of appointments (In Person/Virtual), at different locations, on different days of the week.

If you see when clicking on a session type the Calendar shows “Booked” or “Call to Book” choose a different session type (i.e. VIRTUAL or LANGLEY vs. VANCOUVER and vice-versa) and this will open up more availability sooner

AND/OR

if you need more flexibility in terms of times and location, please reach out to me at 778.344.9644, with your preferred (1) availability (2) location or Virtual, and I MAY have additional openings, e.g. on certain weekdays/weekends during the day. I have the most availability if the session is Virtual.

If VIRTUAL, you will be seen via the JaneApp Video platform, unless otherwise specified.
